The process of obtaining a driving license

The prerequisite for the DL Driving License is the Learner or Beginner Driving License.
The customer must first apply with the necessary documents for the Learner or Beginner Driving License. The customer will have to apply to the Circle Office who has his permanent address or current address (including the required proofs) of the BRTA circle. The Circle Office Authority will give him a beginner or learner driving license, in which the applicant can receive driving training. After taking the training of 2/3 months, he will have to take part in written, oral and field test at the designated center at the specified date and time. In this case, the candidate will have to bring his trainer or apprentice driving license (original copy) and pen to participate in written examination. For a professional driving license the age must be at least 20 years and for the minimum 18 years for the amateur.

Papers for Learner or Beginner Driving License:

1. Application in the prescribed form.
2. Medical certificate by registered doctor.
3. Attested Photocopy of National ID Card / Birth Certificate / Passport
4. Scheduled Fee, 1 Category-345 / -Taka and 2 Category-518 / -Translated BRTA Bank in the Scheduled Bank (Available in Banknote www.brta.gov.bd).
5. 03 copy stamps and 01 copies of passport size photographs.

After passing the written, verbal and field test, the applicant will have to apply for a smart card driving license in a prescribed form by providing necessary papers and fees and apply to the relevant circle office. Smart card is issued after receiving customer biometrics (digital photos, digital signature and fingerprint). After the smart card driving license is done, the customer is informed about receiving it through SMS.

Papers required for SmartCard Driving License:

1. Application in the prescribed form.
2. Medical certificate by registered doctor.
3. Attested Photocopy of National ID Card / Birth Certificate / Passport
4. Scheduled fees (Professional- 1680 / -Tack & amateur -2554 / -Taka) Receipt of deposit to BRTA-fixed bank.
5. Police investigation report for professional driving license.
6. 1 copy passport size photo

The nature of the professional driving license
(1) Professional light (motorcycle weight below 2500 kg) For a driving license the candidate must be at least 20 years old, (2) Professional medium (2500 to 6500 kg of motor vehicle weight) For the driving license the candidate must be at least 23 years old and the professional light Driving license must be at least 03 years.
(3) Professional heavy (motor vehicle weighing 6500 kg) Driving license must be at least 26 years of age and the use of professional middle driving license will be at least 03 years.

For the purpose of getting professional heavy driving license, the candidate must first take the Halaka Driving License after he has been able to apply for professional medium driving license at least three years and after receiving a minimum driving license of 03 (three) years for a medium driving license- You can apply for this. ]

Renewal of driving license:

(A) Amateur:
The customer has to first submit the prescribed fee (within 15 days of expiry, 2427 / - and 15 days after expiry of the expiry date, with fine of Rs.230 / - per year), along with required papers, apply to BRTA's specific circle office. On the same day, customer biometrics (digital photos, digital signatures and fingerprints) are accepted if the application and attached papers are found correct. Smart card w is communicated to the customer after the printing is done.

(B) Professional:
Professional driving licensees will have to participate in a practical examination again. After the expiry of the examination, within 15 days of expiry, 1565 / - and 15 days after expiry of the expiry of 30 days of expiry of the expiry of the fines will be required to apply in the BRTA's specific circle office along with necessary documents. In order to receive customer biometrics (digital photos, digital signature and fingerprint), the customer has to appear at the specified circle office. Process of obtaining duplicate license:

If the driving license is lost / stolen / burnt / damaged, then the driving license number and referral number and date (if any) will be mentioned in the police station and the traffic clearance will be collected from the traffic department of Bangladesh Police. Then the driver's license has been issued from the Circle Office of BRTA or renewed, and has to apply for a copy of the driving license of the Circle Licensing Authority, Assistant Director (Engineering). If the driver's license is a high security smart card, then there is no need for biometrics (digital images, fingerprint, digital signature), otherwise, to provide biometrics, the BRTA Circle Office will be present in Biometrics Pro
