By the way, thanks for the detailed answers you provided to my questions, I wanted to reply, then got busy and Christmas happened, however I haven't forgotten, and I particularly like your line about whether a would-be cocaine addict asks how much he's going to spend on his new found love :-)

So to get you up to speed on my progress, I wanted a cheap entry level fpv drone to practice on and make mistakes.

I bought a Tozo mini fpv and promptly crashed it into a tree at a height of about 6 metres. Now it just lists to the left and doesn't take off :-(

I was tempted to send it back to Amazon seeing as I'm a Prime member, however that didn't feel fair and at £59.80 was cheap enough to simply buy another one and keep the first for spares.

Later on today I'm going out with my friend who is a qualified drone pilot who uses his professionally for film shoots and stuff.

So will keep you posted and might post up the resulting video if it's any good!

Great to hear you bought a drone.....the commercial off the shelf drones can be trickier to fix, but not impossible. Hobby grade usually has widely available and interchangeable parts. If your friend with the drone is unable to fix it, maybe we can trouble shoot through a video. My guess is that it is either motors or props.
