Truce: Something said with a smile just as you notice they are taking this wrestling thing seriously.
Also, something said to delay bombing a country because you don't want it to cut into your vacation time.
All in all, it is a perfectly diplomatic word. Ask anyone that has been accused of diplomacy though, that truce just means they are not able to win decisively now.
Takes two to tango
The definition for truce is clear enough, apart from that it says it takes two parties to agree. Here I will beg to differ slightly as with many romantic relationships I think it can be decided by one party. Given the single party is also the only one aware of the disagreement.
On the platform alone there are many things I have called a truce with yet I do not think they ever knew I was at war with them. @TheHive though uses truce in an interesting way in his post where it is coming to a truce with yourself.
You know, that dick that is always chirping up in your head over this or that which it does not like. Tell the fucker to pipe down. In most cases in our daily lives, it is just a means to not spend any more energy on something. A truce does not mean the war is over, because as long as you disagree there will always be battles to fight.
Frett Not
Yes, do not worry your little head there will be more than enough drama to sink your teeth in. I think truce in a normies life is mostly that. It is just drama, which you space out. Say maybe over a few seasons? Say maybe while you take Miami?
I notice it a lot in families when I observe them from afar. Meaning they come to fuck my life up by bringing more than the required people into whichever space I am, be it the parking lot or shopping centre.
It would be funny if I said in their home but I am too smart to admit that. So a truce when playing around is all fun and games, a truce with anyone other than someone you truly know and trust well that is a recipe for the next shitshow suspense movie and you should write the script so when you go to jail you might get weekends to go visit the set.
In my own life, truce beyond that in jest just means:
I might not do anything now, but I am watching you and I remember.
Everything!

Great closing sentence. I think we are on the same page on this word. Nice use of GIFs and pictures and good layout
