Tomorrow, this will all be gone

Well I’m sleeping at the site tonight, it is 4 degrees indoors.

Tomorrow morning, the contractor comes to do the dry rot treatment.

These floors will be ripped out, and burned, as a warning to all the other floors.

In layman’s terms, dry rot is building cancer, and the timbers affected go from being strong weight bearing beams to being giant crumbly dust-bars. A bit like a Cadbury’s flake but a lot less moreish.

The chemicals are pretty fierce, but hopefully effective.

I’ll have a big fire to stay warm, but for now, I’m freezing my arse off.
