Hello fellow steemians! This is the first episode of the "Dsound Original Music Selection Of The Week". I would like to thank @diffuseloop @isaria @juliakponsford @petalsandthorns @kayclarity @woodermax for uploading their original music to DSound. The images used in this post are taken from artist's original post and the "source" link will take you to their original post where you can upvote and comment on their tracks. It's been a great week for me to get in touch with musicians here on Steemit and learning lots of new stuff about Dsound and Steemit Music Alliance. On the earlier blog post I've announced that artists can participate through sending me their original works that has been uploaded on Dsound to be reviewed but I couldn't find any replies that's why I'm cancelling this kind of participation for a while. In the meanwhile I'll be selecting the songs myself to be reviewed and shared with you.
Diffuseloop - Pigeonhole
source
Review: No matter what the chill music lovers say diffuseloop’s intro with a modulated synth accompanied by reversed brush hits starts the adventure of seeking the pigeon. As I said to him in my comment earlier; recording of the guitars are very clean and it’s been played very simple. Simplicity of the notes created beautiful blended layers which keeps moving over and over again in ears. Rhythm changes on track are very well timed. There is only one negative side in the song which is the repetition of the claps. Besides that everything is relaxing in the song and it goes very well with a beer while daydreaming or watching mother nature.

Juliakponsford - The Candy That Drank The Moon
Review: This is the most difficult song to review on my list for this week. The drums are on the loop through out the song and its off sync with the lead synth which makes audience hypnotized. There are unexpected note changes on the synth and its keeping the song very fresh. The verses between guitar and the lead synth is like they’re having a dialogue. Guitar tells a funny story and lead synth chuckles. In overall Juliakponsford is telling us a happy circus story with the darkest sounds possible on her midi selection.

Petals and Thorns - Secret Dissonance
Review: Opening of the song contains a echoed piano with drums for a little while but when Mia breaks the silence with her smooth vocals, harmony starts the build on her vocals. Power chords on guitar through the verses creates expectation for the chorus and Johnny knows how to explode it. “In the garden of sorrow” (being sung on chorus) melodically puts us in a magical ambience while in the back Johnny sweeps reverbs with his passive aggressive guitar solo. I haven’t had a time to listen Petals and Thorns’s other tracks (Mia and Johnny forgive me i am feeling ashamed while writing this) but this song is a very good combination of alternative rock with a pinch of symphonic metal. Mia’s angelic voice and Johnny’s killer solo gives this song a vibrant feeling on the debut album of the American duo.

Isaria - Slide
Review: For all those newbie rockers around the world this song has to be placed number one on your playlist for learning causes. Isaria’s vocals are powerful and energetic and on the song’s bridge she shines! Sound of the song presents us a familiar hearing from beloved Linkin Park. Arrangement is like a hyperactive kid that you’ll never know when it sits down and act hyper again. The most adorable breaths of the song are accompanied by piano and high self-esteemed strings. A must listen song nowadays for the rock lovers.

Kayclarity - March “Keep On”
Review: Good old arpeggio with lovely vocals. An earworm chorus that I find myself singing it while taking a shower. Pure use of vocal techniques from Kay with meaningful lyrics which crowns this lovely ballad. To sum all up Kay’s creativity come together with a balanced sound that makes us feel at home.

Woodermax - Down By The River feat. Break Out The Crazy
Review: This song is actually a very modern approach to UK Garage genre in all aspects. Lowered use of punchy bass and repeating vocals reminded me of Sunship's works. Very clever use of sample mixing of the vocals. Special thanks to @woodermax for uploading the complete version of the song up on my request. Song is a very good demonstration of educational use on Ableton which he already published a tutorial about the effects has been used on his latest blog post. The over-expressiveness on the song is the only negative side of it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Thank you for reading and supporting. Next week we are going to have a deeper look on different works that has been created by the musicians on steemit.
It's going to be a very challenging week for me to choose five different works from DSound on next episode.
Untill then
Happy Listening!

Thanks for the review man. I kinda agree on those claps. They don't belong in a chill song and I would normaly never even consider them, but my friend and I were jaming when this track was made and he put a clap sequence on his Volca in during the jam. We started lauhging like crazy when he did so I thought, why not, gimme the claps :D
