Exploring sdound

in dsound •  7 years ago  (edited)

today i finally managed to upload a first file to dsound.

This is a recording of a street artists. And i think it is a good track to be the first upload here.

It would be cool if someone could write up the lyrics as I can't seem to understand all of it.
Not my native language...

Anyways,

The struggle to upload this file appeared to be the encoding itself. The recording was made on a cellphone as .m4a
Somehow that did not upload.
Then i transcoded the file in VLC to .ogg and .mp3. Again no luck
Looking deeper into VLC there turned out to be a few oddities, and i transcodded again following the istructions from the VLC website. Again no luck, dsound didn't accept the file for whatever reason/
Then I looked into IPFS as that seemes to be the issue. But whatever i tried, no luck...
After many hours I decided to have another go at transcoding, now i used Audacity.

And guess what NOW dsound accepted the file!!!
I hope this can help anyone.
