Somtyds los die dag ons dade,
Onverryk en so verslae,
Hoop en moed is skaars bekom
En goedheid is deur vrees verstom
Maar troos le in die wonderlied
En in die vrede wat iefde bied.
Dan prober ons weereens pendel,
Die ander hart in slot en grendel.
En seker soos die son en maan,
In die lewens wentel-baan,
Sal die saai van soete saade
Ann my toon n soet genade!
