Learn Portuguese with Cris #4

I'm @crissimoes and this is my fourth post here on @dsound! I have really enjoyed doing these classes for you all. I know it is not easy to learn this language, but I will try my best and make the classes very simple and easy to understand.
Let's go to the fourth Portuguese class!

Regular Verbs

Today I want to teach you how to use Regular Verbs in Portuguese.

Regular Verbs are conjugated by dropping the infinitive ending. There are 3 types of ending.

ar - 1st conjugation
er - 2nd conjugation
ir - 3rd conjugation

Examples of 1st conjugation Verbs:

Amar (to love)
Cantar (to sing)
Falar (to speak or to talk)

Examples of 2nd conjugation Verbs:

Viver (to leave)
Beber (to drink)
Examples of 3rd conjugation Verbs:
Desistir (to give up)
Abrir (to open)

I'm gonna teach you the conjugation of 3 regular verbs. The verbs are:

Aprender
Comer
Trabalhar

So, let's start with verb "Aprender"
Eu aprendo (I learn)
Tu aprendes (You learn)
Ele/Ela aprende (He/She learns)
Nós aprendemos (We learn)
Vós aprendeis (You learn)
Eles/Elas aprendem (They learn)

Now, let's conjugate verb "Comer"
Eu como (I eat)
Tu comes (You eat)
Ele/Ela come (He/She eats)
Nós comemos (We eat)
Vós comeis (You eat)
Eles/Elas comem (They eat)

As you can see the ending of "Aprender" and "Comer" is the same. They belong to the 2nd conjugation verbs. These two verbs are conjugated in the same way.

Finally, verb "Trabalhar"
First, let's look at this word. For many of you who are not Portuguese it is difficult to pronounce this word. In Portuguese when we have "l" and "h" together, we say "lh" ....

Now, let's conjugate this verb.
Eu trabalho (I work)
Tu trabalhas (You work)
Ele/Ela trabalha (He/She works)
Nós trabalhamos (We work)
Vós trabalhais (You work)
Eles/Elas trabalham (They work)

The ending of this verb is "ar" so belongs to the verbs of 1st conjugation.
