Unobelisked atlas

original poetry
& reading

brightsepia-obeliskcarvings.jpg

The village is full of stern obelisks
Peeling back the colored grass
With extraterrestrial fire:

Turning the ground to diamond rubber,
Turning the sky to sequins and papier-mâché.

In these pyramids of harrowing destiny
Can be read the dimensional heatwaves in a
Signature of holograms across the wan horizon.

Blue-gold and the texture of pearl
Emanate from your heart beacon
Like a cerulean inferno.

The propellant of innocence:
Velocitous spiraling love
Breaks protophysical archetypes.

It rewrites obelisks
Right out of reality
Making an atlas, a
Village our own.

It's anthropology in a poem!! Today the village is here in a community we can share and appreciate one person's effort to put a picture and idea into words. Now we can hear those words as the writer speaks. Thanks for giving us this opportunity to listen to the word.

@d-pend this is probably one of my favorites of yours. Thank you.

I start my day with reading your poems @d-pend, they are real masterpieces and give me spiritual energy for the whole day, I want to say thank you for sharing them and wish you a wonderful day!

I often find this kind of locations in games, Same location i found on steemit. By the way i love to play games that's why i am talking about games :P

Your all photograph such a wonderfull Amazing @d-pend

Lovely music, enjoy it

congratulations. artistic value too high
@d-pend

This is just awesome man @d-oend

Wow mesmirizing stanzas

The way you use words into each verses are quite beautiful, I mean, the way you really coin these words shows a beautiful masterpiece

One of the best here @d-pend

Looks amazing man your post very nice thank you so much

We are looking at the reflection of the global village, it's a replica of the wrong habits. We think that we are gods, and we are only obeliks in a small village that is of no great importance without connecting with the main source of energy. This is a message of supreme consciousness and true deep spiritual thought . Thank you for exellent poetry @d-pend

There's a style to this which reminds me of some particular poet, although I'm struggling to pin down who...It'll come to me! But it's your use of evocative and luscious vocabulary ("cerulean, protophysical, extraterrestrial") coupled with that simple, powerful final line ("Village our own.") An ending makes or breaks a poem, and this one definitely makes it. Your words wander but they're anchored in a single thought. Thank you!

Althought Unobelisked atlas but Amazing @d-pend
thanks for shareing

I’m with @kristinaljfom in finding your poems spiritually energizing. This one, with its hallucinatory imagery, and dream-like quality reminds me of home, Egypt, and my retreats in the desert, cheers contemplating mysteries...

I like how the outer is made inner and the inner remakes the outer, in turn.

Good to hear your voice, too, Daniel 🙏🏼

While reading your poem, it reminded me of Percy Bysshe Shelley's Ozymandias. But yours gives off a positive vibe. My fav line:

It rewrites obelisks
Right out of reality
Making an atlas, a
Village our own.

I'm also exploring the poet in me. Hope you can take a look on my poem "March of the Volunteers", my take on the PHL-CHINA relationship and "Iligan", about my beloved hometown.

excellent

Wow, excellent writing/photos. I have been looking on here lately for linguistic artistry like this and it looks like I found a winner. I had to re-read the word "Unobelisked" as I had never seen obelisk used in that manner. Great prose in showing the beauty of nature in written word vs Mankind leaving conquering posts of nature. I found your great work on steemfollower, I vote there 5 times or more every day, so I not afraid to return the favor when someone on there votes my posts [@cryptkeeper17]. It's great when people mention they found it on there in the replies, ha, I kind of use it as my bat(man)-signal. UPVOTE.

enjoyed the music :)

This was the first time I listened to your work. I don't know which I prefer, the words or the audio. The words stand on their own, the audio gives the imagery more weight (you wouldn't think so, but it does). That's why the care you take in choosing them is so important. Thanks.
