The Googly - Osmenog (feat. Tyler Lewis) (Glitch Hop ORIGINAL TRACK)

4 tracks into uploading my 2011 EP Everything Is A Dracula under my old project name. This one comes with a bit of a funny story behind the name.

Back in 2011 I was checking the stats on my Soundcloud and listening to some of the people who had listened to my music. This was when I discovered something concerning, one of the accounts that had listened to my music had downloaded what was available under my account for download and re-uploaded it with different song titles under his account. Essentially, he had stolen my music and was shilling it to his friends as though it was his own music.

The kicker was that he was more popular than me.

I left a simple message on his music that his music seemed like something I would make and immediately saw him delete first that track and then his entire account. I tracked down his screen name and found him on last.fm where I finally got an apology over it. Just some 17 year old kid who wanted to show off to his friends.

Either way, I decided that my revenge was to be the more popular version of him and this track is named after his screen name. Simple as that. Hopefully it still pops up before him when googling him.

This song came out of a jam session with Tyler Lewis of the bands Time To Fly and Alligators, both who were Kitsap based bands who gained a bit of a following before the members went their separate ways (with a 10 year reunion show in 2012 at The Vera Project in Seattle). Tyler was responsible for the organ sounds on this track and it is the only song I've recorded that utilized my old Technics keyboard. Recorded and mixed in Ableton. It's pretty standard glitch hop.

Thanks for listening and let me know what you think below. 3 tracks left from this release to follow.
