A Happy Home
It’s another contest and I have to write
Querencia is the theme, I hope to get it right
But I wonder if anyone will ever read this
I know you’re listening, but will you come back to read this?
I’ve given up trying to entertain a world
That’s wowed by a presentation and then seeks another one
Why should I stress myself to entertain
A world whose taste is like a fast moving train
Instead, I spill out my words as they spring up within me
At the end, only my true fans will always adore me
So why seek to try to conquer the universe
When I can focus on building my own universe
I know you’ve got your standard of successes and failures
But I’ve given up man-pleasing and all of its allures
I haven’t spent much time on earth
There are so much lessons for me to unearth
But I’ve learnt to play with the endgame in mind
Thinking about it, the endgame isn’t so hard to find
I only need to ensure I stay true to my root
While keeping my aim on the sky as I shoot
Fame, fortune and possessions will come and go
They are nothing if I haven’t got nowhere to go
With my family support, I can be whoever I wanna be
With my friends and fans support, I only need to focus on being me
I’ve got a father that’s always proud of who I am
I’ve got a mother who taught true love to the whole fam
I’ve got siblings who believe I’m the best they’ll ever get
I’ve got true niggers behind my back so I never fret
I’ve got super babes that are girlfriends and sisters at the same time
I’ve got true fans who are eternally wowed by my every rhyme
At the end, I don’t need your standards to survive in the fray
I transcend your distinctions, I Am The Gray
At the end, I know I am never alone
Coz I’ve got love and a happy home
