Self employment....In reality is it for you?

in dsound •  7 years ago

Hello and welcome,

These are my thoughts on being self employed . I have personally run my own business for 19 years and it has been tough but I would not have it any other way.

I will be making posts about the subject from a real life experience point of view. I hope to cover the unsaid details that a self employed person will encounter.

In this episode I address the question, ' Is self employment for you? ' . This may seem like a no brainer but the realities of being self employed are under advertised and not foe everyone.

Thanks for listening,

@jist

Another interesting question is: having been self-employed for a long time, could you go back to working for somebody else? That's what I'm potentially looking at if my post office finally does sell. I'm hoping content creation and music will take over, but I will have the cushion of having my wife's self-employed income to support us while I try and build.

I had to do exactly that a few years ago. I was a subcontractor but I had to work for a company essentially. It did not agree with me if I am honest. I really do prefer working for myself but if I have to then I can do it . It was a humbling experience . You are well on your way with the content creating and music taking over, so good we are established so early on the blockchain. Great that you have a cushion too , it can make all the difference.
