Rainbow Connection

This is a sound about our connectedness to one another, that perhaps we don't always notice. Didn't quite sync the vocals as well as I'd have liked, but left it as is, cuz i kinda like the way it turned out.

song takes me to a calm and peaceful place... i am at ease

thank you.

You look very proportional brother, best regards from me @ saifulyusuf01
May you succeed always

Always try and be 'proportional' it the only way to be :) many thanks

Another charming song with rich vocals - I'm running out of superlatives :-)

You can't seem blushing here :) Very kind once again!

feels great on the ears, good quality recording too. vocals and guitar on point, youre a solid musician man.

Hey Cheers thats really kind.

Chill @

I TRY! :)

Some posts ago I shared a rainbow connection photo, and writing an article about how the song Rainbow connection has gathered so many souls (and musicians). I recorded myself a cover some time back. But I love your "rainbow connection" is a different original song.. but still touches the heart strings of "connectivity". Upvoted. Nice vocals too.

Thank you. That is very kind of you to offer such a full comment. I think its just wonderful to create new versions of songs as well as original works. I hadn't heard the original until someone told me it was a muppet song!! :)

Yet one with so much meaning, and it is odd because the "rainbow connection" is connecting me with fellow steemians in music, rather uncanny. I will share my cover, though I mostly share my original music I did cover that one, but I loved the fact yours was an original carrying on the message, loved the cover art you chose too.

Yes in job. Agree

thanks

Deon! this track is killer! :)) I can't believe it's new, it looks as old as 80's pieces, you have a perfect vocal brother!, and this track is mixed so pro! also nice chords arrangement and performance! :)
these notes are special man 0:33 to 0:38, I chose this part as an example, this vocal that you performed is really amazing! and the 3rd vocal is great on it

Hey thank you, its a couple years old now but it was fun to do. Really appreciate your comments.

love your voice man, pretty song

Very kind thanks.

Very nice there bruddha... reminiscent of The Beatles for me

Hey! Now there is a comparision I will gladly take, honoured indeed! Thank you.

God job bro

Hey Thank you.

Great track again, you've got that classic 70's singer songwriter sensibility nailed. This one reminds me of things like Crosby Stills & Nash, with a bit of Nilsson thrown into the mix. Love it...

Thanks man, high praise indeed

Love those mysterious chords Deon. Makes me feel like i'm floating on a cloud :) Splendid. Good message in the chorus.

Thank you for dropping by Jeff

All good man. I like your work and I know it is a struggle to be active on here while dealing with normal life.
Will be over as often as I can mate :)

amazing song....love the vocals and feel

Thank you - very kind

Needs more shred! But, seriously - your voice is great, reminds me of early Floyd and that's a huge compliment in my opinion. Keep doing what you do Deon, it's really good.

many thanks

I hear some Crosby, Stills & Nash in the vocals too, as someone else said. Classic sound and some of my favorite music. Hearing some Andrew Bird likeness here too. But I think I hear a bit of everything in everything lol.

I like the way it turned out as well. Wish I could give you more of a musician's technical perspective so my opinion might be more constructive, but I do like the sound.

I'll just link this for fun, since someone mentioned them: http://www.openculture.com/2013/10/great-story-how-neil-young-introduced-his-classic-1972-album-harvest-to-graham-nash.html

It's a neat music story.

'More Barn' :) I like that, not sure I am quite at that level of commitment! Thanks for dropping by.

Yeah, I loved that line. That's so like him, too. What I liked most in that interview was Graham Nash's talk about their three part harmony. They really had some magical chemistry in their sound. Anyway, hope you enjoy all my random facts and musics. I do enjoy yours.
