Do you like dialects? We sure do!

Dialects, you gotta love them. In Dutch, there are many different dialects. One of our favourite lines, is "do dit do dat do zus do zo". The funny thing about dialects is that it doesn't stop at the border of a country. Our native dialect 'Achterhoeks' is spoken in the Eastern part of the Netherlands, as well as the West of Germany, so people who live close to the border, can speak to each other in the same language. There actually is one street in our municipality that is one side Dutch, the other side German. Funny right?

What is your favourite line in your dialect or language? I know the English language has many different varieties as well :D Please share in the comments (including translation :-) so we understand). Oh, and do you know what "do dit do dat do zus do zo" means?

Love dialects.....!!

Uruguayan too!
"Sho me shamo Mauro.
¿Vamos a la plasha en la mañana?"

For me I prefer the swearing in my dialect.
For example: "Kreizsacklzement"(I really dont know how to translate it properly) or " Brunzkachl"( Combination of chamber pot and peeing and it means a old and annoying woman )

Por mi parte yo amo lo dialectos de amor!

¿Por que no?
Por supuesto que lo amo!

What I like most about dialects is that they have words that are indigenous to places, that is, it is something that characterizes them and, therefore, each person in that place feels it as their own.

Canadian English is one of my favorites.

And of course I do love dialects of love.

What i favor most concerning dialects is that they need words that square measure autochthonic to places, that is, it's one thing that characterizes them and, therefore, everybody in this place feels it as their own.

Canadian English is one amongst my favorites.

And after all I do love dialects of affection.

Nice article.
If I talk about India, where I reside, there are 22 major languages and around 720 dialects! This is an extremely huge count. I live in the Punjab region of India and there is a variation in Punjabi language by just traveling few kilometers.
