My practical field is related to computers and software. So I will consider a software development company while going through all the business ideas and marketing strategies.

Customer Support

Customer support is an important area to work on in any organization and company. In order to support my explanations I am assuming myself in a situation to provide customer support to the customers.

My primary approach for the customer support is to focus on the **empathy, apologizing where required and appropriate and then diagnosing the issue in an effective and efficient way.

Empathy will be my starting point. I will listen to the concerns of the customers. I will understand and acknowledge their feelings. And I will express my feelings as well towards their issues and concerns. For example in order to make them agree and satisfied that their voice concerns and voices matter and important for the company. So I can say "I understand how frustrating it for you". The customer will feel heard and validated. This step is important and it will ensure that the concerns of the customers are taken seriously.

After the empathy the next most important step is apologizing. Whether the issue is not directly related to me but still in order to give value to the customers I will apologize for the inconvenience caused for the customer. It will show a great feeling to the customers that they matter and I care about their issues and problems. It will make sure that the customer can openly share the problems caused by the services or products of the company.

After listening to the customer carefully and for the satisfaction saying sorry to the customer the next point for me will be diagnosing the real issue and matter which caused problem for the customer. I will ask some questions from the customer to get clarification and to diagnose the issue. I will try my best to identify the root cause of the problem. After the identification and diagnosing the issue completely I will then tell a step by step guide to the customers to resolve the issue on their side. And if the issue appears on my side then I will ensure the customers that my team is working day and night to resolve the issue.

It will build trust in the brand. And the customers will become more confident when using the services and products of my company. Because they find the solution to their problems in an easy way with full customer support.

And in this way I will be able to handle the problem with the help of the combine effect of empathy and apology.


Professional Hiring

It is the need of every business to hire the more employees to maintain the high quality service delivery. It will necessary to enhance the customer satisfaction and the scale operations effectively. So in order to achieve these goals hiring additional resources becomes necessary. The hiring of the skilled persons will fulfil the increased demand of the services.

So while planning to hire more first of all we will asses the financial resources of the company. We will calculate all the incoming and outgoing ways of resources. It will help to ensure whether we have resources or budget to hire new talent in the company for its expansion and growth. Ensuring the financial resources will be helpful to drive the operational activities of the company without any disruption. We will also look at the payroll, benefits and all the additional costs associated with on boarding and training.

The goals of my company will be to expand our core services. We will improve the customer support service as well as streamlining the internal operations. So in order to fulfil these requirements and needs our company will prefer to open roles for the customer service, operations management and technical support. These roles will ensure that we will be able to manage the increased work load while maintaining the effectiveness and efficiency of the services and products.

For example: As the inquiries of the customers grow we will hire additional customer service agents to maintain the quality response times and quality.

Moreover the roles in the marketing and scales will boost the brand visibility. It will fetch more clients as the company scales. Moreover after seeing the growth of the company and good reputation and good customer feedback if my company decides to offer more and new services then we will need need of more specialized staff. If my company offers software application development then we will hire more developers, project managers to run the increased operations smoothly.

On the whole the hiring plans will align the short term as well as long term goals for the business while ensuring the growth and operational excellence.


Expansion Plans

Expansion plans are always in pipeline for any company and business seeing the growth of the company. As my company is for developing the software applications then I will follow these expansion plans.

The expansion plan for my company revolves around the growth and diversification. Expansion plans will surely focus on increasing the profit while maintaining the services quality. The strategy focuses on these key areas:

  • Market penetration
  • Geographic expansion
  • Diversification

First of all in order to increase the penetration of the company in the market we aim to strengthen the customer base. For this we will improve the customer retention strategies. We will introduce some personalized offerings and loyalty programs to the customers. It is the best strategy for the market penetration. We will enhance the customer service support.

Geographic expansion is the most important factor in the expansion of any company. We will look around in different geographic areas. First of all we will target our local community what they like and in which services they are interested to get from us or other companies like us. By navigating all their requirements and needs we will develop the software applications according to their requirements which will be helpful for them.

Moreover in order to target other locations we will open new regional offices as well as we will form partnerships with local distributors depending on the nature of the market. In this way we will be able to get more customers.

Diversification is another important way to expand any business and company. Whenever we need to expand the company we need to offer more services and products. So in order to meet the diversification our company will start offering other relevant things as well to to get more customers and to retain the previous customers as well with the offerings of the new services and products.

If my company is currently offering web development and mobile applications development then in order to enhance the diversification we will add game development as well. We will introduce new technologies in the current products to enhance their performance. We can offer the premium services offering and other models according to the needs of the customers.

If our business is running in profit we can expand it by reinvesting the revenue generated by it. We can monitor the growth by the regular financial analysis as well as by the performance metrics. The feedback from the customers is also important to ensure that the expansion is both strategic and manageable. In the above points I managed to maintain a balance between the innovation and customer satisfaction while expanding the company. And I am sure these expansion plans will help to achieve sustainable and long term growth in future.


Aggressive or soft marketing strategies

Marketing strategies are the most crucial factor for the enhancements and boosting of any business and company. I have seen many businesses who did a lot of good marketing and promoted their will and services. They got the attention of the community and in this way they generated a lot of profit ad good community.

In our marketing strategy we aim to build a long term relationship with the customers. We will not use the strategy to sell our services and the forget the customers. The important thing is that if we have a string bond and understanding with the customers then we can sell our services and products to the customers again and again. It is a golden rule for everyone business whether the business is small or large there should be a proper engagement with the customers.

So coming to the main point regarding the marketing strategy for my company we will use both aggressive as well as soft marketing strategy. And the marketing strategies will be adopted taking into account the budget and target audience.

For the soft marketing we have planned to focus on the content marketing and social media marketing and engagement. But how can we forget email newsletters so we will use email newsletters as well because of this digital world and everyone focuses on the digital media nowadays. By providing valuable information of our products and services we can build the trust of the customers and other audience. It will retain and engage the customers without directly advertising for the sailing of the services and products.

In the soft marketing strategy we will create different blog posts, videos and other tutorials related to our services and products. Moreover we will also address the common questions and concerns of the customers ion those blog post and videos to get the attention of the wide audience for the growth of the company.

Furthermore in order to enhance the credibility we also have a plan to run giveaways and to provide samples of our services such as providing samples of search engine optimisation. But these offers will be for the potential customers. We can offer free trials of our services up to a specific limit. Discount codes and small giveaways also attract the customers to use the products in firsthand. It will reduce their hesitation to pay all the money of that service and by using the discount coupons they will use it willingly and without any financial burden. And if the customers like the service then they will become willing to pay all the amount as well in future.

Additionally we will use aggressive marketing techniques as well for the promotion of our services, products and ultimately the whole company. We will publish targeted online ads and some limited time offers to attract the attention of the customers quickly. Because we can see that whenever there are some limited time offers then people do not waste their time and they come quickly to avail the services in the limited time audition within the discounted prices. And it will specially work when my company introduces a new service or software product.

The actual goal is to balance sales efforts with the long term customer engagement by using both the soft and aggressive marketing strategies. These strategies will build credibility, attract the customers and it will increase the customer loyalty even with the limited budget.


Conclusion

The success of any business regardless of its size depends upon the effective customer support, strategic hiring, planned expansion and balanced marketing strategy. By focusing on the empathy, apology and diagnosis business can build trust with their customers. It ensures long term satisfaction. For the proper scaling strategic hiring ensures that the quality of the services is maintained as the demand increases. And hiring should be within the the financial resources of the company. Moreover expanding a business requires creative planning such as market penetration, geographic expansion and diversification. It can help the company to reach new highs. Finally the combination of the soft and aggressive marketing strategies ensures that the business not only attract new users but it also build long term relationships with customers.
