On my way to an appointment, was a few minutes early so pulled up at the side of the road. Looking at the clock, just a few minutes to go so pulled off. Noticed a traffic warden/parking attendant writing a ticket and was positioned completely in the middle of the road practically blocking it. The parking attendant made no attempt to move out the way. As far as I am aware parking attendants don't have the right to block the public road in the normal course of their duties.
As I approached I slowed and yet he still made no attempt to move out the way. As I reached him I asked him to move out the way please. I think this is reasonable as I had to be somewhere and he was blocking the road. Instead of moving out of the way and being reasonable he began to accuse me of nearly hitting him and interrupting his so important job. It should be pointed out that at no point did I try to stop him doing his job or interfere, I simply asked him to move out of the road.
Unfortunately for him I had a dash cam fitted in my vehicle that clearly showed I slowed down and was no where near hitting him, and his blatant ignorance and arrogance prevented him from doing the decent thing and saying sorry and simply moving to the side, but instead accused me of being in the wrong. A uniform and a little bit of power seems to go to the heads of these people now days.
Finally, I will just state that the time stamp on this video is one hour behind as the clocks changed the day before (Sunday 29th October 2017) and I had forgotten to update my dash cam clock. so the date is correct but this indcident took place at 12:02
