How to create dtube account

r/dtubeJan 26, 2018, 2:24 AMCan't create account without mobile phone number.Ok so to put it simply, I do not own a mobile phone. I'm a fucking lazy neck-beard who sits in front of the computer all day, so why would I need one? To create an account on DTube apparently. To the guys running this shit: please remove that requirement. I want to support you, I really do, but I literally can't. The percentage of people who don't own mobile phones may be small, but it's still there, and you need all the support you can get. Little roadblocks like this will turn people off your service.6 Commentspolytox_•Jan 26, 2018, 6:21 AMYou can use https://anon.steem.network/To this:

We can absolutely do nothing about it. D.Tube is just a frontend running on the Steem blockchain, we don't own Steemit and aren't affiliated with the operators. I doubt they'll see your post here nor do I believe that they're gonna get rid of the phone verification. I'm sorry, I would prefer to not have this need to verify via sms as well .r08shaw•Jan 26, 2018, 2:49 AMAre you in the UK? Register using your landline and when they send the text with confirmation numbers, your phone will ring and it will be read out to you...This may be the same in others countries, YMMV.CaffeinatedTech•Jan 31, 2018, 3:38 PMSMS to landline works in Australia too.ideasofmineraft•Feb 24, 2018, 10:30 AMThe land line didn't work in the U.S. So I guess I can't get a dtube account.Sexistan•Feb 27, 2018, 2:34 AMSame hurdle tripped me up in the midst of registering an account with 'Steemit,' damn it!The average monthly wage in Canada is listed at the top of the results from a Google search as being $4,250 in 2017.From what I've gathered, the average mobile phone plan rings in around $90 per month– or about 2% of an average earners earnings.Given that I am someone who earns just one-tenth of what the average earner earns, I would need a plan costing only nine dollars a month in order to realize mobile communications expenditure parity with the average earner.I don't have a neckbeard, but I've never felt any sense of urgency over getting a mobile phone plan (even when I could have easily afforded one) because much like you, OP, I too sit in front of my computerz all day.polytox_•Feb 27, 2018, 10:42 AMThat really isn't a solution, but did you consider to buy a prepaid card or a throw away phone? You just need to receive one SMS, after that you won't need the SIM anymore. Other than that there are "virtual sim cards" which you could use. I won't post a link here but if you google that you'll find it.TI
