Today on 2 Minutes with the Farmer we are going to read the first paragraph and half of the Declaration of Independence. How many of us have actually sat down and read the Declaration of Independence. Today on the 4th of July when most of us are off work and celebrating, do we really know what we are celebrating. I think a great reminder for us all would be to read the Declaration of Independence. I challenge everyone one who watches this to read it today.

I really do not call myself a veteran. I worked 9 years for the department of defense and was stationed at Air Force bases. I worked daily with the Airman and went to a lot of their training but was never active duty as they say.

I couldn't tell you the last time I read the whole thing, thanks for the challenge to do so! I was having a conversation today about kids not being able to even read it because it is written in cursive because there are a lot of areas that are not even teaching it anymore.

Thank you for your service. We have a Christian school at our church. We have the children memorize the Declaration of Independence and recite it at church regularly. I carry it on my Iphone all the time.
