When I saw this article I knew I had to cover it. Ian McKellen is defending Bryan Singer and Kevin Spacey, along with their perverse predilections for underage boys, and he did so by trying to use the fact they were living in the closet. Through saying this, it was an implication their actions were our faults because they felt they had to live in the closet at the time of these incidents. This is when they most likely still would have committed these same acts, where attraction to underage children, which as I said is a predilection, is not socially acceptable and rightfully condemned.
In this video we take a look at Ian McKellen trying to imply that we are to blame for the actions of Spacey and Singer and that there should be no professional repercussions for them. The reasoning being that people will decide to view their work. This is when Hollywood doesn’t care what the rest of us think.
