Teachers Unions In Rhode Island Oppose Bill That Make Sex With Students Over 16 Illegal

In Rhode Island two teachers’ unions oppose a bill that would make it illegal for teachers to have sex with their underage students over the age of 16. One would think having sex with a minor regardless of being a teacher or not would be illegal, but that is not the case. When it comes to teachers though, with the power dynamic of an educator student relationship, along with their taking custodial custody of of students during the school day, they should be held to a standard under the law that ensures minors cannot be sexually exploited by them.

In this video we take a look at the lunacy of these two teachers’ unions fighting legislation that would protect students from sexual predators employed as educators.
