Egyptian Pyramids & Hieroglyphs VLOG

in dtube •  7 years ago

Hi dTube, Hello Steemit!

This is Saqqarah, a town 20 minutes outside of Cairo. Home to the oldest stone pyramid known to mankind. Older than the pyramids of Giza, the step pyramid of Djoser was built during the third dynasty.

When we visited, the entire complex was empty. Tombs of old kings, wrapped in hieroglyphic writing, completely unvisited.

Due to recent terrorist attacks in Egypt by fanatic Islamists, the tourism has taken a plunge, so anyone with a bit of courage and street smarts, can fly to Egypt and enjoy these historic sites by themselves.

Hope you like the vlog guys! If you do, feel free to follow me :)

This is something I've always wanted to visit ! Hopefully I get the chance soon.

Right now, the situation in Egypt has unfortunately worsened, but I do think it's doable. When you go, just make sure you keep your eyes peeled and your senses sharp. You should be all right!

I love you vlogs. You are visiting all the sites I am hoping to see one day. Good for you doing all this so young in life. That step pyramid of Djoser are so important in our history. I heard there was a sculpture in the prayer room at Saqqarah. Many believe that is the first pyramid. Some believe it correlates to Joseph's story in the Bible, as a place to keep the grain during the years of famine. Thank you so much for a real travel vlog video. Blessings.
