DTUBE - Can We Have A Rational Conversation About The Las Vegas Shooting?

The point I am trying to make is this....Muslims often say that the bible was the word of god but it has since been corrupted, however the quraan says that the word of your god cannot be corrupted. So I must ask, which of these statements is true?
Shall I seek for judge other than God? - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt. The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all. S. 6:114-115

You are trying to create a contradiction , which does not even exist.

If at one point of time, in my life, while talking about my teacher, "Peter", I say "the man is short" and at an other time in my life, while speaking about my co-worker, "Alex", I say "the man is tall". Does it mean my statements are contradictory????? Well, No, because I made these statements at different occasions, in different context, for two different people. At first occasion, I was talking about the man named "Peter" and at the second instant I was talking about an other man called "Alex".

It's common sense.

Taking things out of context and then trying to create contradictions , serves no good. It's only a method of creating misunderstanding and propaganda, which we already have too much in the present day world.

Nope! The contradiction is definitely there, either the words of your god can be corrupted OR they can not be corrupted. If the words of your god can be corrupted then what is written in that verse is not true. If the words of your god can not be corrupted then you should believe the bible and every word written in it. Unless of course what you are getting at with your Alex/Peter comparison is that your god is NOT the same God spoken of in the Bible. Is that what you mean?

No, that's clearly not what I mean. I have given the example of "man " in which man means a particular man, not the man-kind or entire human race.

In the same way "the word of God" that the Quranic verse is about, is pointing specifically at the final word of God, which is Quraan, which it is claiming to be perfect.

It is an understood fact, that we know through Quraan and also through other historical accounts that the Bible and the Torah and teachings of the earlier Prophets (which were originally the true teaching from God) were manipulated by people, i.e. corrupted.

So you're saying some words of Allah can be corrupted? Is that right?
