Not a wheat! But it does have gluten. Get a small amount of organic from a bin and give it a try.
FYI - I can eat wheat a long it is not US Grown! There is all kinds of trouble with US Wheat not present in other country's supplies.
I'm good with Mexican, European and SE Asian, but the US version makes me sick with the exception of some organics.
I have heard that as well. We had a friend who went it Italy and she ate all types of wheat flour items. I guess i should rry that out.

Yes, this is also a common complaint of people going the other direction too. All of the sudden they cannot eat bread in the us and had no trouble before where ever they live.

I don't touch what we have here in wheat flour. It makes me so sick. O wonder if the coolkies made in Europe would be good for me to eat. Just now thought about that! I will need to stop at World Market and find out.

Don't go crazy if you have not been eating much wheat at all. But the wheat from other countries should be ok. I used to get imported pasta when I was over there - not the us brands.
