Christian is a young-ish Freelance Filmmaker specialising in Flyfishing in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula.
In the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Sian Ka'an Biosphere, Fly Fishing is the number one source of Sustainable income for the tiny 40-something year old town of Punta Allen (or Javier Rojo Gomez).
Since the introduction of Fly Fishing here, the destructive netting of precious Tropical Fish like the Bonefish, Tarpon, Snook and of course Permit has plummeted, meaning that Ascension Bay is one of the few sustainable fisheries in the World, and one of the last places on the Mexican Riviera Maya where these fish can be found in abundance.
The Film is a classic Showreel piece of Christian's work created during the last 3 Years of living there.
It is Christian's aim to promote the area to people interested in experiencing real travel, where adapting to your environment and honouring the complexity of your surroundings is the point, rather than exploiting is- knowingly or not.
