Here lately there has been alot of rumbling about Steem, and what is happening on the Steem Blockchain. I'm with it, I hear it, I see it, I'm up in the middle of it. It is hard to predict what is happening, but dang is it awesome to speculate.
The last couple of days has been filled with a renewed excitement because the price of Steem has jumped a little bit. There are some people that are using the blockchain that have never even seen the price at 25 or 30 cents...let alone 10 dollars!
When we first started becoming content creators the price was booming. We were broke homesteaders that were selling firewood for income. We found our way onto Steemit.com and then started learning all about crypto.
It was weird to share our lives and people be interested enough to earn from it. Ultimately, it ended up putting some money in the bank for us, and changed our lives. So seeing this little bump was pretty exciting. I think we are set up for new users and new projects. I call it the @papa-pepper effect.
When we first started on Steemit, we found papa-pepper. He was just crossing over 10,000 followers, and in a few months I watched him cross over 20,000!! I was also watching his account grow. His increased Steem Power, and all around recognition.
We are now friends with papa-pepper in real life, and everytime we talk with him we get more motivated to keep on creating. Not only are we creating content, but we are also building on the Blockchain.
Our project is Inner Blocks. It is built to bring attention and awareness to people living their real lives. Not just superficial "social media content", but really having experiences.
We are expecting the next version of our website to be coming in Q1 of this year, and then be met with a new SMT!! Smart Media Tokens are being built and tested as we speak.
These SMTs will allow projects like ours to expand and reach more people, introduce a new crypto token, and create an entire economy around real life. We are really looking forward to it!
So if you were to ask me about the future of Steem...it is looking bright. I believe the price is going to increase, new users are going to come, old users are going to come back, and as long as the witnesses are "keeping the lights on" we are going to continue to build.
I believe that the Steem blockchain is the best place for my content. I don't see that changing soon!
