I was trying to upload a video on DTube but the playback didn't work even after the second attempt. Is there any particular codec the video has to be coded in? I'm using the H.264/MPEG4 AVC codec from VirtualDub - can this be the problem? Are there somewhere any specification about the codec compatibility?
Here is the video: https://dtube.video/#!/v/gric/j890mks9
Don't ask me for the technical details, as I found this by trial and error.. I use nero and export my file with this configuration:
Not sure about that AVC thing... the file is exported as a mp4 file. I can send you an original file if you want to explore it, but there is nothing in the meta data :-/
Hope this helps :-)

Thanks Reinhard! It works for me with mp4 files as long as the data rate is not too high. Another bullet proof way can be to upload to youtube first, then download the transcoded mp4 file and upload it to DTube. But as we know, Youtube uses an aggressive compression at the expense of video quality.

Since there are a variety of file types that can be downloaded from YT, can you be specific about which download settings you used? Thanks! I've been struggling to get a vid to upload and actually play on dtube.
