On Sunday 29 Jan 2018, my son and I had a great adventure to Mengkabong River Cruise. At first, they gave us some treats to eat, local cakes called 'penjeram' and banana fritters. When they called us to ask us to board into the boat, we climbed in and my son became nervous. It was his first time.

The boat could sit about 8 passengers but there were 4 only, 1 driver and 1 guide.

We placed the trap with a buoy, and will come back to collect it at the end of the sail.

i was excited but couldnt express much because the boat was fast and i was shy filming myself. haha.

we had to sail slow when passing some fishermen working there. our boat will make their boats rock if too fast. respect!

when the waters was empty, we sail fast and enjoyed the wind and swamp trees sight seeing.
02:23 It started to rain and it was wonderful, no complain. So much fun!!!
There weere swamp trees upclose
always taken for granted, we never noticed these beautiful trees growing above water.
02:29 under bridge romance
it was once in a lifetime to go under the bridge. i felt special and warm inside.
02:53 The day was getting darker, we went fishing for 10 minutes. No luck but twas exciting experience.

there were some other tourists blowing bubbles, thus creating a nice atmosphere for us.
03:14 petronas fire house
that was the first i saw a legal open fire, just like a light house but burning on top, it was a petrol station factory. we went to our crab trap... no luck (sigh...)
03:32 night beauty
the quiet night filled with engine sounds, later will be all quiet... as we cruised nearer to the swamp trees, spotting fireflies... but it rained a little, fireflies were reluctant to appear, as they were afraid of falling into the river.
At last, we spotted fireflies around the swamp trees, however we couldnt shine on them to take photos because that would startle them. We tried to avoid loud noises and extra lights because they were fragile. it was a rare opportunity to see them ... green lights mini lights flickering in the dark. Very romantic and awed by God's creation.
I hope next time i wont be shy to take a nice video of my trip. And I am very glad, my son grew a bit more mature after every trip. Kudos! Woohoo!
