Snorkeling on South Side of Maui in November 2017

in dtube •  7 years ago

The south side of Maui (plus the west side of Maui) both have lots of coral reef with lots of sea creatures to see. Maui is a great island for wide variety of reefs to go snorkeling (and probably the best out of all of the Hawaiian islands).

In the first video, you'll see a snowflake eel slither across the open ocean floor. The second video shows the overall reef ecosystem. The third video shows a honu (turtle) swim across the surface. The fourth video shows a vantage point of Maui (facing Haleakala Volcano) and then dipping below in the reef. The fifth video shows a Giant ulua swimming on the ocean floor. And the sixth video shows a white mouth eel hiding out behind a coral head.

Yes indeed ... hence why I try to go snorkel in the morning daily!
