Manta Ray Night Time Snorkeling on Kona, Hawaii

On Kona side right in front of the Sheraton Kona hotel, there is a place just off-shore where phytoplankton is abundant, this makes for great area to view manta rays up close at night time. You can take one of the many manta ray tours to see these creatures and/or less recommended way is to swim out from the nearby dock on your own.

    Wow! Very cool shot. I've been to Hawaii twice (Oahu and Maui) and did tons of snorkeling, but didn't think of doing it at night.
