Any1 else tried to claim their d.tube account name but wasn't successful?

Hey Ya'll (UPDATED BELOW),

I've tried twice to claim my user name for my d.tube 0.9 account but haven't been successful...

I always get to this part...

"Now, you will need to publish your public key in your steem profile. You will need to enter your private active key to confirm your identity.

Once that's done and the transaction has been sent to STEEM, click on 'Confirm' and your new account will be created by @dtube. It might take up to 2 minutes for this step to complete."

I appear to complete this step "congrats operation successful" (and then press "confirm"). I wait more than 2 mins and it never seems to complete....

This part confuses me in retrospect: "Now, you will need to publish your public key in your steem profile."

What does this mean exactly...

Is this a separate step done before signing the transaction? I interpreted this as it should be the result of signing into steemconnect and then broadcasting the transaction itself for the username. Am I wrong?

This is the result I get stuck on this page, stuck forever:

Also:

This link:" 0.9 update article "brings you to @curators Steem account so what's up with that!?

Any help would be great as it looks like it should be super simple and I feel like an idiot or, I'm being fucked lol.

UPDATE

It only took about a day, but my initial attempt seems to have actually gone through. So look out, it doesn't take up to 2 minutes but up to many hours possibly a whole day to recognize the transaction.

Tried to upload an avatar. "Not enough Bandwidth" error msg....
Tried to make my first post. "Not enough Bandwidth" error msg....
Tried to Vote. "Not enough Bandwidth" error msg...

Haven't received any DTC so not sure what I'm supposed to do with my new account lol.

Any1 else have success or failure and wants to share their experience?

Any1 else have successes or failures they want to share with the community? I'd like this all to work out and to d.tube succeed, just trying to navigate is proving difficult.

I also noticed that there seemed to be a time delay while my steemit account and Dtube accounts sync'd up...I'm sure that is what you are probably experiencing as well. Thanks for sharing this...

yea i believe you might be right... either way, the simple instructions aren't too clear on the process ahaha and when it doesn't work right away the user is left thinking they screwed up somehow...

Still not able to use my account really... no bandwidth which wasn't something that the post mentioned would happen.... I'm not mad or anything, just that it was presented as, easily claim your account get dtc and start posting.... that hasn't been the case for me.

Further Update... somehow it appears again with a large delay that my video did in fact post regardless of the error msg... perhaps only to the Steem Chain tho... not really sure what's going on exactly...

Wait, we need to make new, separate DTube accounts now? We can't just continue on using it as always? Shit, I thought they just made a token, not made our lives more complicated.
I guess there's something else I'm going to have to figure out.
(wonders how people who can't remember their simple passwords to accounts they've had for ten years are going to handle having all these keys and different front end accounts to access the same blockchain and feels like we are NEVER going to have mass adoption, are we)

No i think you can totally still use your Steem account. it's only if you want to make their dtc as well and start fresh. If you use their chain it essentially double posts which is neat... But not yet apparently lol...

Ahh, ok. Thanks for the clarity. :)

I had trouble with this as well and fumbled around until it seems to work now. I think I needed to log in with my steemit master key first, then after it worked, log out and log back in with the private posting key... But I can't seem to change smoothly between my steemit blog and my Dtube account. I'm as confused as you but had a bit better luck! Keep trying! Sorry I don't remember exactly what I did.
