Hike With Me #6 : Moenkopi Desert Trail at Red Rock Canyon Outside Las Vegas Nevada

in dtube •  7 years ago  (edited)

Check out the Desert!! The Moenkopi is an easy two mile hike thru the desert just past the visitor center out at Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas Nevada. It may be a super easy hike, but it's still packed with some pretty amazing views of the surrounding Red Rock Mountains!

Plus, there are all kinds of cool desert plants and cactus and things like that to check out. The Mojave desert is super cool!

It does cost a little bit of money to get into Red Rock Canyon (it's a federal park), but it's definitely worth it! Hint: buy the pass!

Post more, i like to discover new places!!!

Will do! And thanks for commenting, I appreciate it!

Really nice to see some other place besides Iowa and miles of corn fields far as you can see.

I hear that! I grew up in the midwest...if I never see another corn field again; that'd be just fine with me!

Yeah I lived here my whole life. The only really good thing we do have if you can ever find it is the woods.

That's the one thing that's really missing from Las Vegas...but if you drive about a half mile north west of the city, you'll find Mount Charleston and it has some decent woods. But other than that...it's just desert out here!

Yeah been thinking about moving to Alaska where theres alot less people

I have a cousin who's moving there right now...too cold for me!

Like this post ...thumbs up for this

Thanks! I'll check your stuff out right now. And I followed you.

It looks warm, I could use some of that here in Florida

Wait, isn't Florida warm? It was nearly 70 degrees here in Vegas yesterday...

I’m thinking about moving there for graduation!
