It's you

So what about it was good? Do you have any response to any of the points or questions I made in the video or the post above?

Everyone's view is colored by their experience and personal biases. Alot of people liked the movie but you did not that's why I said that it's you. Comparing your points to how I experienced it it's like we saw two different movies. For instance you mentioned that 1/3 of the movie was the Joker laughing but that is not objectively true if we measure the times that it happens to the length of the movie...it's just how you experienced it.

In other movies the Joker is like a cartoon character but in this one he is a human being that slowly turns into the villan that we all know. The world is not black and white and here the Joker is a complex person that suffers from mental illness. It so happens that his actions are embraced by the disenfranchised of Gotham city that view him as someone that takes it to the elites. The Joker himself doesn't see that, he is to busy dewling in his on madness to even care about that.

Ohhh I have almost the similar feeling. I kept on waiting for it to get intwresting and finally the movie only got over. His acting I still feel was good but the story line was pathetic. I was wondering Really is this for Oscars

(Liked the film) but I think the Oscar for best lead actor should go to him...

I totally get what you are saying, and I have ver mixed feelings about real life serial killers films. However, I must say I loved this film.

I don't think there is a moral to the story. He doesn't win... he goes to the nut jail and in the end will find batman. And I don't think he becomes the hero of the city. More like the destroyer of the city and the leader of a very sick group of individuals.

The humour... well I did laugh at some points. But the film is completely a greek tragedy/ opera about a "sad" and crazy antagonist.

I think it was a movie not about the joker in action but an intimate look into the "creation" of one of the biggest criminals of the city ever. And it does not leave society itself out of the equation, while not making it sole responsible.

Since it is a completely fictional antagonist that we know very well... it gave the permission to go some interesting places. A nihilist movie about a very sick man. Anyhow, I really liked it and I "got/agree" with some things you said, so I wrote my 2 cents here.

Have a nice week.
