Do You Need To Speak Chinese to Live in China? | DTube Exclusive

Got a really interesting question about Chinese language. Should you learn Chinese before even considering coming to China? And the answer to that question - you don't have to worry much about it in modern era of smartphones and translate apps, people will be able to help you out, even if you don't speak a word :) You just type in your question and they will type their answer, it's that easy in modern days :)
But, if you stay for longer, it would definitely be cool to learn Chinese language and be able to communicate freely.

I see that you are living in Guangzhou. Guangzhou has the most number of foreigners living in China than any other city. I think it would be easy to get around without knowing any Chinese in that city. I know people that have been in Guangzhou for over 10 years and still don't speak Chinese. I think it is kind of a waste of time if you do that but it goes to show that they can still survive.

In my city, Qinhuangdao, it is better to learn the language because not too many people here speak English and I got tired of doing sherades and always needing to open my translate apps to say anything. If you are visiting, you will be ok, but living here, you should learn the language so you can be more independent.

My 2 cents. Good video!
