Why Don't People Make as Much Money on Steemit as they used to?

This is more of a part two from one of my previous articles
https://steemit.com/dtube/@majorsquats/is-steemit-dead

People don't make hundreds of dollars they used to on steemit and there's many reasons why.

In my opinion one of the biggest reasons is because of the price of steem itself. Cryptocurrencies have not been moving at all and have been at a standstill in low price. People who have been on steemit for awhile know that when steem is in the $1.30 range payouts were at its highest because less steem could be given out and more money would still be payed.

Now that steem is $0.12 more steem has to be given out to supply payouts and the payouts can't be the same as before because they would be giving out way too much steem.

Steemit blogs are also not the future of crypto. Steem has a better chance focusing on Dtube because statistics show that 72% of people would rather watch a video than read text.

Hope to see Steemit grow in the future however because it's a great concept and has done a lot for many people.
