Hyperinflation is a word that gets thrown around a lot. What most people mean is "very high inflation." What I mean is "mathematical doomsday."
According to the OMB's report here: https://www.treasury.gov/_layouts/SPDynamicResources/DownloadS3File.aspx?s3filename=current_production/current_TreasuryPresentationToTBAC.pdf that point will be reached in 2024.
As it happens, I wrote about this 7 years ago. And I said then that it would 10-15 years. That puts it in the 2022-2027 timeframe.
It looks like we are right on time.
Investing implications? Flights to safety, including crypto, are going to boom.
