Here's an experiment in using the tenroi-on to control a micro korg and create a kind of "automatic solo machine."
The Tenori-on uses one layer set to random loop mode to send MIDI data out to play the korg. in random loop mode you can mark notes across the screen and a dot travels between them triggering each note when it gets there.
The korg is using a monophonic patch with the arpeggiator turned on and portamento enabled. the arpeggiators latch function is on, the spread is set to two octaves and the mode is set to random. Now when a note is triggered it randomly slips back and forth between that note and one octave higher.
Once a selection of notes is put into the tenori-on in random more you can "spin" the grid around on the screen. This creates a constantly changing pattern of notes that still fits in the key and might repeat every so often.
now all i have to do is switch scenes on the tenori and play with the filter sweep on the korg.
