Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band's 26th Annual Gathering of the Bands

in dtube •  7 years ago

The Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band's 26th Annual Gathering of the Bands was held on Saturday August 26, 2017.
8 Bagpipe bands, a Concert band and a Big band performed through-out the afternoon.
This video was captured from the Bagpipe parade that commenced at 8 pm, that same night.

The colors, the sounds, and the dedication. All this and more, was adding up to be a memorable day in the making. And you have recorded it for us who could not be there.
Even the setting of the parade is first class. How many of us wish that we could have been there? Many of us for sure.
I love the bagpipes. And the dress and the attire fits the excitement of the day.
Thank you for sharing what you have experienced with us.
Without your work and post. We would miss out on a time of history in the making.
Since this was a continuation of previous years.
It was only by the determination of the participants could it continue and take place.
The hope is that it will continue through the years.
Even for generations.

Francis

Thanks Francis!
First of all, could you hear the audio on this video? (It's my first time using dtube and it seems that you can't hear it if you use Firefox as a browser but you can hear it, if you use Chrome.)
What browser did you use?
I also didn't realize that dtube posts directly to Steemit and therefore only the information you include with the video you upload is included in the post.
This means that I'm going to have to post the 2 videos that I took during the parade on YouTube if I want to customize a post around them to include more of the actual story about what is happening in the videos.
It's all learning my friend...I'll figure it out eventually...lol!
Thanks for supporting me as I stumble along. ;)

@rebeccaryan
Yes, I could hear and see your video. But it wasn't the continuous streaming that we are all so accustomed to. I had to let it load gradually and then watch and listen.
It could be a little frustrating to those that don't have a lot of time. But in my case.........................
I used the Chrome browser. It is a good one in most cases. The Microsoft Edge claims to be good.
But, for me. It leaves out some features.
I am not familiar with posting on video platforms or whatever they are called.
I am not pretty like you. So I rarely show my face.
Even though I did one time on Steemit in one of my posts. I don't think you have seen it.
I was able to hide it from your view. Ha Ha It is at the end of a post. Ugly is the word, so save your time. lol

It is wonderful seeing a scottish band marching the street.
I've been to Scotland a couple of times on holiday (cheapest place to go as I live in England) and it is amazing to just sit and listen to people playing bag pipes @rebeccaryan

Nice post @rebeccaryan, the annual band's gathering is good, but there is a problem the video plays well but it has no audio in it i think you might have mute the audio while uploads it. thanks for sharing

Thanks @adnanrabbani! It's my first time to upload to dtube and use it to host a video. I have found that the sound will not play with Firefox as a browser, but the video with its sound will play with Chrome.
What browser did you use when you tried to watch it?
I didn't realize that dtube posts straight to Steemit, so now, I feel like I need to write about another post, using YouTube so that I can explain in more detail the significance of what is happening in my 2 most recent videos.

Thanks @theguruasia!
It's my first time to post anything to dtube. As a result, I am stumbling my way along. It still seems that the audio/sound is a bit of an issue. The sound won't play along with the video, if someone uses Firefox as their browser but it will work if they use Chrome.
Could you hear the sound and if so what browser did you use?

I got confused for a minute then, you dont live in scotland lol, love the bagpipes such a cool instrument

This is confusing and I apologize for not being clearer. I didn't understand that dtube posts straight to Steemit. (It's my first time using the app and I thought it would let me pick up the address for the video and insert it into a post exactly the way you can with Youtube and therefore let me provide a more detailed back story.) I'll be making a post with my most recent videos on Youtube so that I can explain what is going on a bit better.
Could you hear the sound or audio of this video and if so, what browser did you use?

thats fine i figured it out pretty quickly :) the video was great just dtube was slow loading the video it kept stopping to buffer, but the audio was fine. im using chrome btw

That was a great video :) very nice
