Equal Opportunity > Equal Outcome ~ #getpaidwhatyoureworth

Great video! One thing you missed on was people fighting for what they feel they are worth. Studies have shown that men are more likely to fight for a higher wage or not accept a job they believe they are worth more. Where as women are the opposite. They are more likely to settle and accept what is being offered. In that regard women could get paid less than men for the same work, but it's not based on gender its based on the simple fact of accepting the wage offered for work required. I believe much of the gender pay gap argument falls into this category. People look at a business and think they should AUTOMATICALLY offer the same wage because 'fairness" and "equality". However, if this was the case 100% all companies would hire only women as it would be just as productive and save them a ton of money.

I was missing lots of thing, tbh. But 7-8 minutes is much longer than I want my videos to be anyway. I'm thinking I need to come up with three main bullet points and hammer those out in 3-4 minutes. I don't want to be a time grabber and I assume most people lose interest after the first minute or so.

But correct on your other assertions.

  • men reject more low paying jobs
  • if women were cheaper to hire, employers wouldn't hire men at all
