Yellow Vest protesters hit streets of Brussels on EU election day

Protesters inspired by France’s ‘Yellow Vest’ movement and drawn from all over Europe demonstrated in central Brussels on Sunday, the same day as the European elections take place in Belgium.

Protesters demonstrated in the face of a large police cordon, while several people were seen being detained in the vicinity.
