I've been fighting depression and my health has been declining for the last 2 1/2 years, so today I jumped out of my funk and walked and ran 3.2 miles. I nearly killed myself in the heat of Central California. I will force my will until and I don't have to think about going for a run. Running is the best way to burn calories and fight against the blues, so it's On like donkey kong. I'm @runridefly, and this is the beginning of my personal fitness challenge.

running is indeed very good for it, if you have run afterwards you get a shot of serotonine and dopamine wich makes you feel good and free :) I hope you do well you have my support!

I never had a depression but my mom had one that lasted for years. The only person that can truly help you is you yourself. I know it sounds bland and wil probably not help you. But if typing it all down helps. I wil gladly read it!

Good luck on your journey. Please do keep posting about it because, a) it's a good way to keep yourself accountable, and b) you'll be able to see the progress on your low days when you go back to see where you were and where you are.
And dont quit! One of the harder things after getting started (on anything, not just health/fitness) is to stay at it so it turns into your routine and a habit. But takes time to get to that point.

Depression is not a good thing to deal with! If you can, please practice meditations! It might help you to reduce the level of depression 100% to 0%.
Being a human is not very easy! So, never try anything foolish (you know what I am talking about)
If you have no good friends, sometimes you can buzz me (message me) via FB, coz I am not a big fan of steem chat! Coz I know how hard is this!
