In this Video Essay I talk about a few of the downsides the potential Disney and Fox Merger may have on the Hollywood Ecosystem and possible Studio monopoly, R-Rated Superhero Movies and Netflix content. Marvel getting back the X-Men and Fantastic 4 is awesome but I don't think it is worth the possible monopoly it creates.

So what you are saying is that now all marvel fans support centralization and all DC fans support diversity? ;)

But yes, the R part is iffy. Its sad we fought so long to bust the comics code for it to more or less still exist thanks to Disney.

Not exactly, if Im not mistaken all of DC is still owned by WB. If the merger happens, only spiderman will be with a different company.

Disney just doesnt do R I hope they keep 21st open and make them under that though.
