The Buzz Factor // #EP12 // sorry I missed a week, I was busy recalibrating all the things! :)

Kinda hard to believe that I missed a week but I guess with everything going on and me working on the obs pack for dapps things just ran away with me for the usual weekly content I was putting out, it’s given me a few weeks to reframe what I’m doing however so that’s a good thing.

We have had a lot of campaigns happening very quickly in the last few weeks and I wanted to deep dive that a little bit because I think it’s interesting and if we can develop it and find a way to package up and onboarding people quickly in this manner it could be some great quick wins for the platform.

Pepo came and went really fast with 32 hunters on the quest, the quest payouts were small so I believe it was someone ‘testing’ the water to see what the ‘offering’ was — I literally never had time to complete all the parts, these small budget offerings go SO fast, like same day!

One thing I will say is that Pepo on their socials were very clever (manipulative?) about the way they described themselves as being the first crypto app to be accepted when really they are not a crypto app, they are a video app talking about crypto but for those not informed it would look like a company to ‘look at’ because of all the crypto apps trying to get into the App Store, bit of a wolf in a sheep clothing play but I noticed it ;)

We also had a game in the shape of Flappy Royale hit the site, this darn game won’t die will it! They ended up with 24 hunters take part and they had a small budget too but I kinda like these small testing/trialling of the service deals, I’m thinking of doing the same for steemglider.app as well because I think it’s a cool way to get some traction for you service.

Again this went by so quick I had no chance to jump in on this one, literally the content quality I want to write/make for the final buzz part takes longer than some of these stay up for because of the budget (that’s kind of a problem actually for the hunters, not the campaign makers, needs a fix!)

Stoop was another one I missed out on, these small ones go really quick but they still had 42 hunters on the quest, that closes in 12 days from today — when it does everyone that took part and that submitted an item will get a pay out in HUNT tokens, they are tradable with BTC on daybit and you can get token information about the price over on coingecko with my shortlink, hunt.lol/gecko

Archero was super fast because they only had two quests on their campaign, for what the game was I think this was smart to spend a little and maximise that budget — they have 25 hunters on the quest but the campaign still has 88 days to finish.

This is kinda weird to me because that means that people have to wait over two something months for the pay out of the campaign yet it’s closed/finished? I hope this can be communicated to hunters better because it’s weird to be closed and to have to wait too long.

Looks like a neat game thou, I can’t wait till the day we have STEEM games and HUNT token incentivised games hitting the website, I hope those days will come in 2020 ;)

Another game but from a totally different perspective was the Altcoin Fantasy I totally missed out on this one as well! — but 32 hunters made it in and this is to end in 89 days even thou the campaign is finished already, I think there must be something done about small budgets and long delay payment times because hunters will get frustrated with that.

Big surprise to me was seeing buy me a coffee on the service, this is when I started to sit up and take notice of the potential for smaller budgets having quite a bit of traction for websites instead of applications — they managed to get 46 hunters onboard and their campaign was super easy, just two quests — their buzz payment was extremely low however at around a $1 but that’s the wonderful thing about quests, you can decide the payout value of all of the parts of the quests you have.

Confused a little why it says 5% of the fund left yet it’s ‘finished’ — little confusing again to Hunters coming to the site for other quests and the payout is months from now, I’m hoping that this is getting looked at.

One of my favourites in the last few weeks that I’ve actually started to use and list our unfr.ee podcasts on is podchaser it’s actually a really damn cool application for searching out podcasts, a great discovery engine for podcasts and enables us to accept feedback and reviews and even sell merchandise on them, freaky sweet! :)

I never managed to finish my buzz video for this which was a little bit frustrating, it would have been nice to at least finish the campaign parts even if the campaign finishes, nothing worse than being half way through your post on medium about it and then the project is finished!! ;(

One thing that I’m realising as well that’s really valuable for all the companies that list on reviewhunt is the amount of backlinks and traction they will get that way too, I can certainly see reviewhunt with 1000’s of campaigns and quests coming together in 2020.

Walnut was the final one I’m going to quickly mention this week, I totally missed out on this but 30 avid hunters got in there and got it done — props on the people who cracked that nut. I’m really digging the companies that are advertising on the platform, it’s certainly attracting an interesting kind of product and I’d go as far as to say these are perfect for the existing hunting audience.

Walnut is a mobile app that lets you learn from hundreds of curated videos with interactive quizzes

So that’s my update on review.hunt.town for this week, i’ll try and keep to a weekly schedule again maybe getting these done in future on sundays instead of a monday as I’ve got a hectic week of course recording this week so please bear with me.

If you found this useful or it made you take another look at the project please leave a comment, upvote or reshare it on the steem blockchain for more coverage. If you have not tried the reviewhunt project yet, drop your email in and get signed up straight away!
