Oh my! I haven't used an alarm clock since I got my first cell phone in 2000 :) I know what it's like to give up reliable tech that are engrained in our lives though! It's not hardware, but I feel like it took forever to get used to giving up cable tv!

Yes, those alarm clocks of old are yet another technology superseded by smartphones. However, they still are nice and I use another one as a back-up for those mornings that I simply MUST arise! :-) Thanx for the comment @jiujtsu
