Where Do You Get Samples ?

I've always been into sequencing, drum machines, keyboards and synthesizers. Sampling has always been very "light" for me, I might sample a vocal clip from a movie I enjoy but never took part in the "art of sampling"

The Teenage Engineering OP1 is my first real hardware sampler and I feel the sampling is by far the most powerful aspect of the Teenage Engineering OP1.

What sites are your favorite for sample packs. Paid or free, I'm just looking for some awesome packs to start playing with on my Teenage Engineering OP1. I'll have to admit, I love presets and working with some rocking sample packs would be refreshing.

I'm looking into a Tascam field recorder for mobile, custom samples.

I think my approach is much like yours using synthesis mainly and only sparse sampling.

I recently got the Zoom H5 field recorder and was very impressed with it, though it is not too cheap. I was actually considering about starting a sample pack for Steemers but I didn't get too much feedback about it. Maybe it is something you could be interested in?

My approach to sampling is very much like you would expect from 80/90s industrial. A dark, aggressive vocal clip that fits my song but the OP1 is the first full fledged sampler I've had so want to explore the other side

Yea, electronic music niche is still small here but it could be fun to work on something like that in the future

I have a big ol’ library I’ve collected over the years, sourced from friends digging and my own. Platinum Hip Hop, Lex Luger kits, and Classic Breaks Bol. 1-4 are some of my favorites for drums. Splice is also great, for pretty much everything. Enjoy your new hardware :)

Thank you broskies, splice does look dope
