        Fungi is amazing. Certain types of fungi may even act as extensions of plants root systems by delivering water and other nutrients to the plants in return for something else like carbohydrate. Some people think that hugelkultur works so well because of the fungal net that the buried wood creates not that the wood itself is acting as a sponge.
