Oddly enough, I went to college with a below average amount of debt, got a great job in the field I studied in, and was able to generally improve my life and opportunities. However, I really agree with you that college in general is a huge scam. There is a small number of field that actually benefit from a degree, and even these graduates do not actually gain real job skills. All they end up with is a piece of paper that employers require before they will consider hiring.
