How Ardor Child Chains Work
Creating an Ardor child chain allows you to utilize the advanced blockchain technology of Nxt for your business, organization, group, or independent project.
Multiple child chains will be created under Ardor—the main blockchain and each will have it's own unique features chosen at the time of creation or added later. Initially the child chains will be created with the assistance of the development team at Jelurida.
Child chains will be operated with their own native tokens allowing them to act as separate entities, but synced into a global architecture by the main chain.
The child chain transactions will be validated by every node on the network. Only accounts holding the ARDR token will forge meaning that no matter how small a transaction on a child chain or how unequal the toke distribution on them is.
To solve the problem of blockchain bloat caused by permanent sequential storage of data on the Ardor Platform the child chain data will be pruned away a schedule determined on creation.
