During my self discovery the things I've seen and the things I've experienced through life, it has shown me what the yin is and what the yang is. Balance is most difficult to achieve, in daily life, is it not? Then I started thinking about months, years, centuries, and so on. The energy aspect of it and the causes to effects. It is everywhere in our reality and so very hidden that sometimes it is missed by those blinded by mundane life. Then again everything from the smallest matters, matters. The bigger picture and the little picture are intertwined and not always separated like what most think it to be at times. Cliche as it sounds, how well do people know about balance and finding the Dao in life. Their path and their understanding of the essence of who they really are and the choices they make to defy the basic default of the norm. Enlightenment through understanding all, the way of life, the way of death, the way.
Things are never as simple as they appear to be and great quotes of great people who found their Dao on their path were meant for some to listen and understand them. Every lesson is situational and static, never to be applied to everything, as everything is always changing.
Martial art usually goes hand and hand with the yin yang and the Dao. It lets me see life differently using both the right and left brain. Arts, literature, science, music, fighting and peace, strategy, knowing oneself so you can compare to others… All of it is not to compete and find rivalry with others but finding your next baseline and hurdle to your own self to be your best self. Self defeat is so you can be able to do better. A word of interpersonal; wisdom there for some.
As to what i like to promote as part of my Dao, is to choose to do good, being good as well at the opposite. Back to the yin yang, it can be very vague at times though sometimes what we comprehend in this moment is what we need to comprehend later moments. Almost like time is not linear and the way to look at it is like a puzzle piece.
This is my current thought of the yin yang, it’s not a balancing act but that to find the most optimized balance like a dungeon and dragons character sheet. That is your Dao in life, your accumulations of experiences, wisdom, knowledge of something. Your way of life to make it the best life for yourself, others, and all of existence. The yin yang, such a complicated concept and yet so simple that is felt in our very being.
