Dumbbell Nebula
Object Type: Planetary nebula
Distance: 1300 light years
Constellation: Vulpecula
This here is an expanding shell of gas from a dying star that was strangely similar to the Sun, the Dumbbell Nebula may offer years of research and may grant a glimpse into the future of our very own star. Although, the Sun we live with dose has about five billion years of nuclear fuel left..give or take... the star that created the Dumbbell Nebula had already exhausted its fuel over 50,000 years ago or so. Once that clock had ticked..In its death throes, the star blew off its outer layers to form the beautiful ghostly nebula we can see today. The nebula got its popular name because of its double lobe appearance. So tell me..What shape do you see in these images?
⬆⬆This is the final cleaned up photo after the whole process
Now, about this process... (but before we do please feel free to view a more detailed process in my previous post) https://steemit.com/space/@arthuralonzo/astrophotography-4-trifid-nebula.
Now to start off, you will find in this order R,G,B photos of this object⬇⬇
Now .. this is the Dark photo⬇⬇
After going over the process of subtracting the dark image, giving each photo it's color, and combining and fixing them into one..I was presented with this
Looks Ghostly, it's good but needs to be better so I brightened it up a bunch again into this⬇⬇
But still not enough so I took it off the program and took it to an edditing tool...after playing around with it some, I decided to go with an oldy but goody.."Retro effect", along with the other things I did to it. so again, here's the final final photo cleaned up.
