In 1965 Frank Herbert stunned the scifi world with his now book "Dune"
This epic novel was first serialized in the analog magazine and was quickly acclaimed and won the prestigious Hugo Award in 1966 sharing the prize with Roger Zelany. It also won the first Nebula Award for best novel.
Dune was mean to be part of a trilogy, but ended up been a 6 novel saga.

This is achieved by the Guild Navigators who are addicted to the rarest substance in the universe. The spice "Melange" Melange is the key to space travel and he who controls the spice controls the universe.
The spice is found on only one planet "Arrakis" also known as Dune......................
